Winemaker’s Notes:
Colour: deep ruby red with garnet hues.
Nose: wide, intense and pleasant bouquet with scent of faded roses, violet, spices, tobacco and tar. Persistent, complex but austere is very recognizable the Nebbiolo grape.
Palate: multifaceted, dry, austere, medium to full-bodied, elegant and fine with chewy tannins and pleasant finish. Harmonic and smooth with hint of blackberry and spices. Typical Nebbiolo grape taste.
Serving temperature: 18 ° C.
Serving Suggestions: best with hunting game and spice cheese
Cellaring: 10 – 12 years.
The “king of the Piedmont’s wine” is the name everybody likes for this garnet strong and velvety wine. Malgrà winery produces this Barolo every year, it’s a special selection of excellent Nebbiolo grapes from “Marvenga” vineyard in Serralunga d’Alba. The oak ageing adds to this Barolo strength and warmness, complexity and harmony, great balance besides orange hues and garnet colour. The specific wine-making style makes it drinkable without waiting such a long time but with a very long life.
