Italian Wine
The International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) has estimated Italy’s wine production from the 2016 harvest at 48.8 million hectoliters, in its usual position as the world wine production leader. Global production dropped by about 6 percent to 260 million hectoliters, while Italian production was down by 2 percent.
